Human Resources Generalist

Reporting Schedule

Objectives of This Role
  • Provide both day to day and strategic support for Human Resources
  • Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations
  • Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements
  • Assist in administering employee performance programs
  • Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department, the organization, and to improve employee experience
  • Ensure legal compliance of HR provincial and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required
Responsibilities
  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Prepare paperwork, coordinate training and facilitate smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
  • Provide offboarding support
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Promote HR programs to create a safe an efficient conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Undertake tasks around performance management
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
  • Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations
  • Provide payroll support through coordinating approvals validating timesheets and expense reimbursements and vacation requests.
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed

Sales Representative/Account Executive

As an Account Executive you will be responsible for acquiring new clients, nurturing existing relationships, and achieving revenue targets through effective communication, negotiation, and tailored solutions. Their role is pivotal in driving the growth and success of the organization

Responsibilities
  • Promotes/sells/secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
  • Demonstrates products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.
  • Makes telephone calls, Teams/Zoom calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
  • Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
  • Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Coordinates sales efforts with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and Inventory.

Driver-Class 2,3 & 5

We are seeking a self-motivated, efficient, and experienced Delivery Driver to join our Cold Lake team. This job is for someone who likes variety in their day, and does not mind helping out in the warehouse in between deliveries. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Duties
  • Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
  • Load and unload freight as required.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records.
  • Work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Safely operates trucks as assigned.
  • Load and unload goods and supplies and ensure proper Handling & Load Securement
  • Pack, label and tag all of the inventory in the warehouse as required
  • Carry out all orders of the supervisors
  • Work in accord with all safety regulations of the warehouse
  • Coordinate work with fellow workers and other team members
  • Pick and prepare orders for shipment
  • Daily process and assembly of customer’s orders
  • Warehouse housekeeping-maintain a clean safe environment
  • Perform other duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Valid Class 2, 3 or 5 Driver’s License
  • 5-years’ drivers abstract in good standing
  • Demonstrated truck driving experience with straight trucks and tractor-trailers.
  • Flat deck experience
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain good attendance
  • Availability to work long days and or weekends as required
  • Ability to work independently and with other employees, including management, office and warehouse personnel

Working from our Cold Lake Location and reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Operator plays an integral role in our shipping and receiving processes as well as assists in maintaining inventory by identifying, verifying, labelling and placing materials in designated areas and ensuring all information is processed accurately in the Inventory Management software.

Responsibilities
  • Operating a stand up reach truck as well as sit down forklift;
  • Inspection and verification of incoming/outgoing material to and from various sites; installations through SAP inventory management system
  • Load and unload goods and supplies and ensure proper handling
  • Pick and prepare orders for customer
  • Shipping and Receiving duties
  • Ensure the cleanliness and proper stocking of inventory in the work area
  • Maintain quality in the warehouse and keep track of all damaged inventory and report the same to the supervising authorities
  • Carry out all orders of the supervisors
  • Work in accord with all safety regulations of the warehouse
  • Coordinate work with fellow workers and other team members
  • Warehouse housekeeping-maintain a clean safe environment
  • Data entry and assistance with preparation of inventory
Skills and Qualifications
  • 1-3 years related experience
  • Valid Class 5 license
  • Forklift experience on a sit-down counter balance and stand up reach
  • Ability to load and unload 53-foot trailers with a forklift and the ability to load flat decks with a forklift
  • Forklift license an asset
