Founded in 1974, the Bluewater Group is Atlantic Canada’s largest ship supplier and Canada’s largest independent distributor of Mobil branded lubricants. In addition, the Bluewater Group has provided innovative Supply Chain and warehouse management plus Integrated Logistics services specializing in marine and industrial supplies since 2002.
Our Leadership Team
Patrick Wilson
President & CEO
Patrick (Pat) is the President & CEO of Bluewater Group. Pat is the strategic lead of the group; and, along with the senior management group, has grown Bluewater Group’s business into a national logistics and distribution company. Pat can be described as someone who never stands still and is always looking for the next challenge for Bluewater Group. He has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 and has been one of Atlantic Canada’s Top CEO’s for multiple years. Pat is an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and is an active volunteer in the community.
Shannon Pye-Wilson
CPA, CMA, MBA
Chief Financial Officer
Shannon handles all aspects of Bluewater Group’s financial business as well as overseeing the group’s IT and Communication requirements. She is a business graduate of Dalhousie University, an MBA from Saint Mary’s University, and a Certified Professional Accountant.
Peter Michalak
VP – Operations
Peter Michalak is an accomplished Bluewater Group executive with over 30 years experience in marine and logistics. In partnership with the executive management team, Peter creates leading-edge support solution for the organization’s mission and goals.
Prior to the post of VP of Operations, Peter held several increasingly responsible roles in executive and general management. For over a decade, he was personally leading logistics and supply for Army and Navy all over the world.
As the VP of Operations for Bluewater Group, Peter helped design and supervised the construction of key infrastructure project that allow the company to become best in class service provider to our customers. He is responsible for all activity regarding logistics, ship supply and all company group assets. As a straight and accessible leader, Peter is known for driving growth, productivity and profitability in ever changing and challenging business environment. Peter believes in simplicity in life and work. Takes care of the people, focus on the customer and act on what is important
David Babin
CPA, CMA
Senior Vice President
David handles Business Planning, Contract Management and Organizational Mapping while managing fuel and lubricant operations with our trusted suppliers. As a graduate from Royal Military College and an ex-Sea Logistics Officer with over 20 years of experience working in the Canadian Navy, David brings a disciplined approach to the team and makes sure that Bluewater Group and our clients are always on an even keel.
Robert Skaggs
VP – Sales and Marketing
Rob has over 30 years experience within the lubricants industry and is responsible for driving the overall sales and marketing strategy for the country’s best sales team that operates within the Bluewater Group Lubricants division across Canada. With locations across the country from Northern Alberta to the Atlantic Provinces, the Bluewater Group has a very diverse book of business that provides exceptional opportunities to interact with our outstanding customer base.
We employ the phrase of “The right product for the right reason at the right time” because it fits our Customer Driven, Solution Focused method of doing business at all times.
Previously, Rob has held positions as Territory Sales Manager, Western OEM Manager, and National Account Manager with Wakefield Canada (Castrol). Rob is currently an on field official with the Canadian Football League and has officiated in four (4) Grey Cups along with one (1) season in the NFL officiating program. Rob resides in Edmonton with his Wife Terri and twin sons Carter and Colby.
Peter MacKay
COO
Starting with Bluewater Group as a safety manager in 2014 he’s advanced through a number of operational and business development roles until taking on his current position as COO.
His responsibilities include oversight for the day to day operations of the company and ensuring that all of the systems, resources, and people are in place to achieve the goals of the company. A key function is building employee alignment with the company’s goals and meeting the key targets of the organization.
His focus is on improving operational efficiencies and guidance to the business as it continues to adapt and grow.
Peter works closely with all levels of the organization in the planning, development, and execution of Bluewater Group’s corporate strategy.
Ashley Levy
CPA, CMA, MBA
VP – Finance
Ashley joined the Bluewater Group team in 2016, bringing over 10 years of experience in a variety of accounting, process improvement and leadership roles within JD Irving. At the Bluewater Group, Ashley is responsible for Accounting, Inventory, and HR/Payroll. Ashley is a MBA graduate of Saint Mary’s University’s Sobey School of Business, is a Certified Professional Accountant, and has earned a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
Keenan Leonard
VP – Business Operations
Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Six Sigma certification, Keenan is always prepared for a new challenge. He's passionate about finding new creative solutions and leading teams toward success.
Keenan's leadership philosophy is centered on the idea that consistent progress, no matter how small, is crucial in all areas of life. He advocates that the compound effect of progressive incremental change leads to positive outcomes for everyone involved. Leadership for Keenan is not just about results—it's about understanding the people he works with and forming meaningful connections. Keenan believes recognizing what drives and motivates others is critical for continuous growth and progress.
Justin Kennedy
VP – Supply Chain
Justin has over 20 years of experience developing and leading high performing teams. As VP of Supply Chain, he is directly responsible for the safety and operational effectiveness of business units in Bluewater’s Supply Chain Division. Justin has extensive experience managing projects, start-ups, and customer relationships, having spent half his career as a Logistics Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces before transferring his skillsets to the corporate world.
Justin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Public Policy from the University of Guelph, Ontario. He is currently enrolled in the Executive Master of Business Administration program at the University of Fredericton.
Justin firmly believes that excellence is a habit, achievable with the right mindset and a disciplined, deliberate approach to life and decision making. He employs a simple, principled leadership philosophy; be competent, be respectful, communicate effectively, and do the right thing.

Bluewater Agencies Limited business begins operation.
1992
Ship chandlering business opens in Newfoundland
2002
Supply Chain and Warehousing business opens in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia for Sable Proiect.
2004
Mobil Lubricant Distribution for packaged product begins in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.
2010
Edge Marine Disposal Services is purchased. Blue Water rebrands as Blue Water Group.
2011
Shorebase Supply Chain Warehousing opens in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
Operators for the offshore supply base in support of Sable Gas & Deep Panuke natural gas projects in Nova Scotia. This remarks Blue Water’s first integrated full -service logistics operation in support of the energy sector. Mobil Lubricants Bulk Plant opens in Atlantic Canada.
2012
Mobil Lubricant Distribution opens in Edmonton, Alberta.
2013
Ship chandlering business opens in Montreal, Quebec.
2014
Operators of the offshore supply base for Shelburne Basin Deepwater exploration campaigns, Nova Scotia.
2015
Supply Chain logistics facility opens in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador. This facility supports two production assets in the North Atlantic via a 13 acre, 125,000 square foot logistics center.
In support of the activity, the team includes dedicated workers on the offshore installations.
2017
State of the art Blue Water Alberta bulk plant operations commence. 100,000
Square foot facility containing over 3.2 million litres of bulk storage and over 600 Mobil products as Mobil supply point for Western Canada.
Operators of the offshore supply base for Scotian basin deepwater exploration campaign, Nova Scotia.
2018
Blue Water Supply Chain is awarded contracts to support 8 Western Canada locations in upstream and downstream Oil and Gas projects. This includes a footprint of over 400,000 square feet of warehousing and an additional 120 staff in support of the work.
2019
Marine stevedoring company, Universal Marine is purchased in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
2022
Seamont Brokerage in Monteal, PQ is purchased; Seamont specializes in brokerage, transport and logistics services.
2023
RMI Marine Limited in Halifax, Nova Scotia is purchased; RMI Marine is a progressive marine contractor specializing in Diving and Marine Port Services.
2026
Hyflodraulic Limited in Mount Pearl, NL is purchased; Hyflodraulic is a motion control, fluid power and mechanical systems specialist.
